This is one of the authentic Aromatic Rice variety of Dindigul region of Tamil Nadu and used in tasty aromatic Dindigul Briyani preparation in the past. This rice when cooked plain have rich aroma naturally. Even the Paddy field and paddy is aromatic. Once tasted it would be very hard to stop using it.

This rice variety is almost extint and grown only by few farmers in Tamil Nadu.
