Description
This is one of the first Heinz-bred varieties to be used in making the famous ketchup because of its high yield of large, round, juicy, and great tasting fruit. Heinz Classic (also known as Heinz 1370) is a vintage variety with big fruits that are perfect for slicing, too, not just ketchup! Plants are well-adapted to many regions and bear strongly from coast to coast. Although these are determinate plants, vines are vigorous and benefit from staking. The fruit can grow quite large, so the vines will need support.
